In February 2003, Scott co-founded Northwood Family Office, with partner Tom McCullough. Since then, Scott has worked with Tom to build Northwood into Canada’s leading family office. Scott has spent over 30 years in the financial services industry and is the senior partner at the firm responsible for relationships with existing clients.
Scott is a lecturer for the Management of Private Wealth Course in the MBA program at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Ivey Business School. Over the years, Scott has been involved in a number of charities with much of his time devoted to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
Prior to co-founding Northwood, Scott worked at a fee-based financial planning firm and in senior roles at RBC Dominion Securities and Scotia McLeod. He started his career in public practice with a “Big Six” accounting firm where he obtained his CA designation. After leaving public practice, Scott’s focus has been on providing advice and counsel to private clients on all aspects of their financial affairs.
