What do you do at Northwood?
As a Senior Analyst at Northwood, I play an essential role in delivering high-quality investment reporting and analysis to our clients. I ensure that all our deliverables meet the Northwood standard while also cross-collaborating with our internal teams and our external partners. I also contribute and assist in managing diverse ad hoc projects that support our clients’ short and long-term financial goals and objectives. All that is to say, is that no two days are alike.
What surprised you the most since you've been at Northwood?
Since joining Northwood, I’ve been impressed by the dynamic and multifaceted nature of our work, which not only demands a broad range of skills and knowledge, but also ensures that each day brings its own unique challenges and opportunities. This also keeps our team engaged and fosters continuous growth with our clients. I was also pleasantly surprised by the diverse backgrounds, educational experiences, and career journeys among the team at Northwood. Ultimately, what stands out to me is our genuine passion for what we do while also finding time to sprinkle in a bit of fun every day.
Beyond the work itself, I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that we all share a common interest in traveling. It’s always great to hear about each other's fun and exciting travel adventures, and we often exchange recommendations and tips. Now that we have our ‘Northwood Around the World’ feature in this newsletter, hopefully our readers will also be able to get some travel tips each quarter.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Outside of work, you’ll likely find me spending time with my family and friends that will either include food and/or some sort of physical activity. I love exploring new foods and trying out new restaurants, and since joining Northwood, my list has only grown longer. I also enjoy watching F1 and European football and hope to experience a live race and football match one day. Beyond food and sports, I enjoy the thrill of catching flights and love the opportunity to explore as much of the world as I can.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
Without a doubt, I’d have to say Italy. Part of the reason may have to do with the fact that my parents went to explore Italy while leaving me with my grandma in Poland when I was just six months old. Beyond that personal reason, I want to explore the country’s rich culture, history and the delicious cuisine that has always captivated me.
I look forward to experiencing Italy for myself one day very soon.
What is on your bucket list?
Aside from the previously mentioned travel plans to Italy, skydiving is also on my bucket list. I already have two places in mind for this: Florida and Colombia. We’ll see if it comes to fruition sooner than expected.
Anything exciting coming up for you?
I will be going back home to Poland in September to celebrate my grandma’s milestone 90th birthday. Thereafter in November, I will be soaking up the sun in Florida visiting my best friend who recently moved there.
