From serene jungle hideaways to bustling urban centers, coastal surfing, and monkey forests - our trip through Bali and a final stop in Tokyo was nothing short of incredible. Here are the highlights of what has become one of the most memorable experiences of our lives:

Ubud:

Nestled in the heart of Bali, Ubud is where we truly felt connected to the island’s natural beauty. We stayed in a jungle villa with a private pool, surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of nature. Mornings were spent lounging by the pool and soaking in the serenity. Exploring the nearby rice terraces and visiting local markets added to the magical ambiance that makes Ubud a must-visit for anyone seeking both relaxation and cultural immersion.

Gili Meno:

A fast boat ride from Bali whisked us away to Gili Meno, part of a stunning island chain known for its pristine beaches and clear waters. The true highlight was swimming with sea turtles—an unforgettable, almost otherworldly experience that brought us face-to-face with these graceful creatures in their natural environment. The island’s tranquil, laid-back vibe is perfect for unwinding and soaking in the slower pace of life. With no cars or motorized vehicles allowed, time seemed to slow down. It's easy to embrace island life, hopping onto a donkey cart for a charmingly old-fashioned way to get around. If you're looking to disconnect and find a serene slice of paradise, Gili Meno is the place to be.

Penida Island:

For the adventurers, Penida Island is a paradise. We rented scooters and toured the island, discovering dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and breathtaking viewpoints. The thrill of riding along narrow roads, with the wind in my face and the ocean by my side, was one of the best ways to experience the rugged beauty of Penida. While some of the roads are rugged—potholes and gravel patches are frequent—it only adds to the excitement and charm of the experience. Get ready for some heart-pounding, white-knuckle moments, especially if you're a fan of a little adventure. If you find yourself visiting this island, make sure you check out Kelingking Beach and Angel’s Billabong—two of the island’s most iconic spots.

Seminyak:

After returning to the island of Bali, we made our way to Seminyak for some beach time and surfing. The waves were perfect for beginners and seasoned surfers alike, and there’s nothing quite like the feeling of catching a wave as the sun sets behind you. Seminyak is also a hotspot for great food, lively nightlife, and vibrant beach clubs, making it the ideal spot to unwind before heading back to reality.

Tokyo, Japan:

The final leg of our journey took us to Tokyo, an entirely different but equally exhilarating experience. Staying in the heart of Shibuya, we immersed ourselves in the city’s energetic atmosphere, with its neon lights, towering skyscrapers, and bustling streets. We indulged in sushi and other incredible food, hopping from one small, intimate restaurant to the next, savoring each bite. One of the most unexpected highlights was attending a Tokyo Giants baseball game—an event that perfectly captured the enthusiasm and passion of Japanese sports culture. The atmosphere was electric and so much fun!

Our trip to Bali and Tokyo was the perfect blend of nature, culture, and adventure. Whether you’re looking to explore jungles, swim alongside wildlife, ride scooters along cliffside roads, or immerse yourself in the vibrant pulse of one of the world’s most exciting cities, this journey truly had it all.  I can’t recommend it enough!
